A professionally trained consultant, leader and coach who delivers high impact results with passion, insight and experience. Dr Beatson has expertise in organizational behaviour, leadership development, the psychology of motivation and high performance culture. She is seeking to advance teamwork, leadership and organization development by building capacity in individuals and teams.

• Specialist leadership development, change management, and organizational learning

 

• Teaches utilizing principles of adult education and motivational psychology to stimulate transformative learning. Serves clients from both public and private sectors including Teck Metals Ltd, Kootenay Library Federation, Interior Health Leaders, Physician groups in the Okanagan, Thompson, and Kootenay regions of BC, AMEC Engineering, Alberta Health Service, Department of Family Medicine-Calgary, Alberta Children's Hospital, Kootenay Boundary Mental Health and Addictions, and Golden Life Management- Seniors care and residential services.

 

• Provides diagnosis of organizational behavior and process consultation.

 

• Facilitates interactive learning sessions on leadership topics using current evidence based theory. Examples: managing change, culture, adaptive leadership, authentic self-awareness, systems thinking, creating functional teams and communication.

 

• Facilitates collaborative planning sessions.

 

 

Services included: managing the merging of several corporate departments, leadership development, team effectiveness training and engagement strategies.

 

 

Provided leadership in developing organizational initiatives in support of a collaborative learning culture in a public organization of 22,000

• Acted as a change agent within the Health Service Area to support the Senior Leadership team including the Chief Operating Officer, Community Administrators and Directors in implementing change initiatives

• Created and delivered leadership education to Physicians for (CME) continuing medical education credit.

Coached several athletes to an international level.

 

Personal coach to BC Premier Gordon Campbell, 1987-1989.

 

 

Organized high performance and recreational sport programs, leadership camp and language schools for hundreds of children from countries around the world.

 

Managed 65 teachers, coaches, administrators and support staff from 26 different nations

Designed and directed a leadership training program.

Gold Medalist at National Masters Ski Championships 2007, Silver Medalist 2002 (several top 10 finishes at the Master’s World Championships- including 4th in the 15km free technique in 2011)
